very friendly helpfull staff, very relaxed atmosphere, very clean rooms
Limited choice on the menu for the fine dining restaurant
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful in a genuine way. The rooms were also very clean. There is, however, a long walk to the bedrooms for anyone with walking difficulties as there is no lift system for passangers only baggage.
I originally booked a deluxe room but the TV did not work and it was opposite the large noisy extraction fan from the kitchen below. Also no view. When changed to a normal room I did not like the bath, washhand basin in the bedroom as there was no privacy to have a quiet bath when others were watching the TV. I did however like the view from the normal room!!
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was excellent, and it is situated perfectly to visit anywhere in Cornwall.
Clean and comfortable room, relaxing atmosphere. Helpful and friendly staff.
Gardens and landscaping have not finished. A little surpirised at open-plan layout Delax double room. There was no direction signs of facilities.
The accommodation was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was good as well. We will definitely consider going back again
We found the staff very freindly and helpfull.
Despite only being opened for a matter of weeks The hotel and staff were organised and well run. The staff were very attentive and seemed keen to please. The food both in the bistro and the fine dining Arboretum was very good.
Staff were really friendly and helpful, especially Sam managing the Bistro and the staff on the spa desk. The hotel was full as many of us had our overseas holidays cancelled due to volcanic ash. This appeared to be a challenge at breakfast time and one evening in the Bistro but the helpfulness of the staff made up for any shortlived chaos. Still lots of work going on in the grounds but we knew this from other comments and there was no noise that affected us. We were really pleased with our room and enjoyed having the balcony to sit and enjoy the morning sunshine. We had a lovely time so didn't feel too hard done by and not being abroad.
Spa treatments could be better. Girlfriend was dissapointed with her treatment.
Comfortable, modern and contemporary. Great restaurant (Aroboretum) and fantastic swimming pool / spa complex.
Staff, facilities etc were excellent. Staff remembering your name is a nice touch, whilst the Spa area was very professionally designed & finished off.
A small point, but I had to ask where things were a couple of times. I think the direction signs are either very discrete or possibly not up yet.
This Hotel is fantastic! Almost brand new, it lived up to the positive reviews I had read before booking. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious, the food good and the Indoor Pool and Spa lovely. We booked this Hotel as an Anniversary treat and would definitely recommend it. The Eden Project is well worth a visit, as is nearby Charleston Harbour.
The design and spaciousness of the woodland homes are superl; great to have the facilities of a hotel whilst having your own home. Good for families and couples alike.
Beware that the picture on the internet is an artist's impression of the estate. In reality, short on grass and still being landscaped. Whilst quality is great, the woodland homes are short of some basics so bring with you a wooden spoon, salt & paper, etc as the focus has been design not the practicalities of living.
Relaxing and high quality, lovely atmosphere. The staff are really well focused on customer care. The porter (Ross) was superb.
Spacious rooms, clean comfortable accomodation. Excellent staff and food.
This hotel has not decided what it wants to be yet. Is it good quality, luxury family orientated accomodation or a luxuroius executive retreat. Sometimes as a family, especially at the pool we got mixed messages.
